Another useful hidden tool from MS Word is AutoCorrect.
This option is available from Tools -> AutoCorrect...:

You can use the AutoCorrect feature to automatically detect and correct typos, misspelled words, grammatical errors, and incorrect capitalization. For example, if you type poeple plus a space, then AutoCorrect replaces what you have typed with people. You can also use AutoCorrect to quickly insert text, graphics, or symbols. For example, type (c) to insert © or :) to insert J.
Nice thing is that you can define your own words or expressions for this tool. A good idea is to add an acronym of your company name and this will be replaced with full name, as you type.
Of course, this tool could be disabled any time. You can disable AutoCorrect when uncheck 'Replace text as you type' option, just above AutoCorrect list.
Another correction tool you might want to enable or disable here is 'Capitalize first letter of sentences'. If ticked, every first letter after full stop (.) is capitalized. There are situations when you don't need this, so you can disable it from here.
When using correctly AutoCorrect tool you can enhance your typing performance and correctness.
